Daniel Jovin

MD/PhD Program, 4th year
Yale School of Medicine

Hey y’all,

My name is Daniel, and I’m a 4th year MD-PhD student. I was born in Philadelphia and grew up in Richmond, VA. For college, I ended up back in Philly where I studied Bioengineering at Temple and graduated in 2021.

At Yale, I research the biology of cardiovascular disease (Greif Lab - Genetics department), play on the C2 club soccer team, and volunteer at HAVEN Free Clinic. I am also part of the American Physician Scientists Association (APSA), a national, trainee-led organization dedicated to supporting more (undergrad, med, and grad) students to pursue training and careers interfacing clinical medicine with research. In my free time, I enjoy playing soccer, rooting for Arsenal and Philly sports teams, and doing and watching stand-up comedy.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out any time if you’d like to chat about applying to grad/med school, MD-PhD programs, sports hot takes, or anything else (daniel.jovin@yale.edu)!
